Matt Barry - Branch Manager/Valuer
Matt joined Astleys in 2012 starting as a sales negotiator at our busy Morriston branch, eventually being promoted to valuer in 2014.
Matt has since excelled and has been our branch manager at our Mumbles office since 2015 where he has become well established in the local community. Matthew has a great passion for property and continually provides the highest level of service to our clients.
Andrew Weston (Sales Negotiator/Valuer)
Andrew has worked for Astleys as a sales negotiator at our mumbles office since January 2011 and is very much an integral part of the team. As well as negotiating offers, Andrew’s role also includes the preparation of our marketing particulars, which involves the meticulous task of ensuring the property is presented to its full potential to attract as
many suitable buyers.
“My favourite part of my role is the preparation of the marketing for properties which includes photography, brochure production and drawing floorplans. Another aspect of the role that I enjoy is undertaking sales viewings and sales negotiations.”
Michelle Petherbridge (Sales Negotiator/Valuer)
Michelle joined Astleys in 2016 after working as a sales negotiator with a national housebuilder for over 23 years. Her main role is registering clients, carrying out viewings and most importantly negotiating sales while progressing them to completion. Michelle loves meeting people and enjoys building relationships with both buyers and vendors. Her dedication and commitment to achieve the best possible outcome for both buyer and seller is evident in her impeccable sales record.

Kim Hier (Sales Negotiator)
Kim has worked in the property industry for the last 24 years starting her career selling New Homes with Persimmon Homes, before moving on to Redrow then Bellway rising to the level of Field Sales Manager.
For the last 11 years, she worked for a smaller housing developer, Anchormill Homes, as Sales Manager and after a very successful career in New homes, Kim joined our Mumbles team in 2020 where her natural flair for sales and passion for providing fantastic customer service has seen her become a vital part of the team.
Paula Cole (Branch Manager/Valuer)
Paula has worked for Astleys for approximately 17 years, initially as a sales negotiator and prior to this comprised an impressive CV with a further 11 years’ experience in the industry, including a successful careers at Taylors Countrywide and Bairstow Eves. It didn’t take her long before she was offered the role of senior negotiator and eventually branch manager. We are very proud to have Paula as our branch manager and we can always rely on her dedication towards both the firm and more importantly the client.

Working for a professional estate agency allows you to grow with the company and gain
much knowledge from past and present directors. I am experienced in all aspects of the
roll as a manager in the estate agents industry, and must say that I enjoy all parts of the
job immensely but if I had to choose one favourite part it would be when I hand over keys
at completion and seeing a big smile on clients faces.”
Jayne Harding (Senior Negotiator/Valuer)
Jayne started her career with Astleys in 1983 as a shy 17 year old straight out of college. She was initially employed on a youth training scheme but after a short while was offered a permanent position with the firm. Jayne’s initial role was to deal with general enquiries and to assist our longstanding survey department where she gained valuable experience.
Over the years Jayne has worked in both the sales and professional services departments intermittently. Since 2014 Jayne has remained an important member of the sales team within our popular Neath branch. Jayne’s current role involves valuing properties, conducting viewings and the listing of properties to the market. Her time spent in the office mainly consists of dealing with enquiries, sales negotiating and sales progression.
“I enjoy all aspects of my role but particularly enjoy the rapport with customers, whether buyers or sellers and following the property transaction through to completion. I thoroughly enjoy my job and look forward to adding quite a few more happy years’ service to my 37!”
Roweena Collier (Sales Negotiator/Lister)
Roweena joined Astleys in 2016 with little experience in the property industry but with an abundance of enthusiasm. She has since excelled in her role and is always keen to ensure both our clients and potential buyers are her top priority. This is also evident by the continued praise we receive for our local team.
“During my 4 years I have gained a lot of training and experience through my experienced work colleagues Paula Cole and Jayne Harding. I am now experienced in all aspects in my job role as sales negotiator where I create property brochures, floorplans and negotiating sales from start to finish. One of the favourite parts of my job is meeting clients whilst carrying out viewings and enabling them to find their perfect forever home through Astleys whilst keeping in touch through the sales process.”
Sara Copeland (Branch Manager/Valuer)
Sara has been with Astleys since April 2007 starting as a sales negotiator in our Swansea Office. Before Astleys Sara had previous sales experience including working for Admiral for 8 years. After working in a call centre Sara soon thrived in Estate Agency with the freedom of not being tied to a desk for 9 hours a day.
Sara was soon promoted to branch valuer where she achieved a high level of instructions so when the branch manager position became available in Swansea there was only one obvious choice for the role.
Today Sara continues to be one of our most valuable assets as she is able to undertake all aspects of work including valuations, viewings, preparing property details with floorplans, sales progression as well as the day to day running of the office. As it is the flexibility and diversity of the industry that first attracted her she still wants to maintain and experience every part of the job.
Christine Anthony (Sales Manager/Valuer)
Having begun her career in estate agency 18 years ago Christine joined Astleys in 2009 as the branch manager of our Morriston Office. Christine has extensive knowledge of the business and takes great pride in ensuring excellent customer service.
Furthermore, Christine is always at hand to assist the team with further training to ensure our staff have the necessary skills to satisfy all of our client’s needs.
Since returning from maternity leave Christine has taken up the sales manager role for our Morriston and Swansea offices where she continues to provide expertise in progressing sales to completion and communicating with clients to offer experienced advice and help with the sale of their home.
Conor Burdett (Branch Valuer)
Conor joined Astleys in 2015 after over 22 years’ experience in Estate Agency. He worked for 9 years in the challenging and fast-paced housing market in London where he passed all relevant property industry qualifications.
The wealth of knowledge and experience he attained in this time in London has enhanced his interpersonal skills when dealing with clients and professionals in his line of work. He returned home to Swansea and has continued to expand his career for over 17 years in the localised market place.

Gail Davies (Valuer/Senior Negotiator)
Gail has worked in the Estate Agency Industry for approximately 25 years. Throughout her career, Gail was a branch manager of a successful estate agency office in Morriston for 12 years, which involved training members of staff and undertaking valuations for clients.
Gail joined Astleys in 2017 and we are extremely grateful to have Gail on board as she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our firm. Her duties consist of valuations, preparing floor plans, and taking photographs of properties, sales progression and of course helping clients find their perfect home.
Gail also assists our Lettings Department and is able to deal with both sales and letting enquiries.
Janine Clarke (Sales Negotiator)
Janine joined the team as a Saturday sales negotiator in 2016 having previously worked in retail. She showed a passion for the industry and now works part-time for Astleys.
Having had the experience of fully renovating her current home Janine has the knowledge to advise on the rewards as well as some of the pitfalls that can occur. Janine thrives on negotiating sales and achieving the highest sales amount for our clients, once a sale is agreed she will then progress the sale to completion.
“Every day is different and gives challenges, meeting clients, visiting properties, and helping people purchasing their ideal property being part of an important time in their lives is special. The team I work with has a lot of experience and I know if I ever need advice on estate agency there will always be someone to help. We also try and bring some fun into the working day.”
