Tonna

Tonna Area Guide

Tonna is a popular village located approximately 2 miles to the northeast of Neath town centre.

Once mainly agricultural fields, the name derives from the archaic Welsh tonnau, meaning lea or grassland, with some areas of pasture remaining untouched. The surrounding area is also a short distance to Resolven Melincourt Waterfalls, which is an 80 feet (24 m) high waterfall on Melin Court Brook managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. This is a relatively sought after area given its picturesque location and proximity to popular amenities.
